The Acre Design Needs & Options Review
- A proper diagnosis before design begins: we visit your home – please allow 2 hours – We listen carefully to your your priorities, and complete a measured survey using our point-cloud scanning tool (this data is yours to keep, whether you move forward or not).
- A clear picture of what is possible: we prepare a detailed client brief, review planning history and development potential, and present initial zoning and layout ideas for discussion.
- A practical route into the next stage: you receive a written report with initial floorplan thinking, likely ballpark construction costs, timeline guidance and the next steps towards design, planning and technical drawings.
Before you commit to full design, understand your options, any limitations and likely costs.

Why we insist on this step
Skipping this groundwork is the single biggest cause of costly re-designs, planning refusals, and budget blowouts. The Needs & Options Review is how we make sure that doesn’t happen.
It’s not just a consultation — it’s the foundation of a successful project.
You’ll understand exactly:
- What can be built (and what can’t).
- How much it’s likely to cost.
- How long it will take.
- And the smartest way to get there.
